What kinds of commercial ideas are eligible for the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge?
All original ideas that meet the objectives outlined in the creative will be considered. Think outside the box! You can find the creative brief in the Resources section of the Web site.

Who is eligible to participate in the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge?
Full-time (as defined by your academic institution) students enrolled in a degree-seeking program at a fully accredited college, university, or institute in the U.S. (except where prohibited or restricted by law) are eligible to participate in teams of no more than three (3) students. Employees or affiliates of General Motors, Chevrolet, Campbell-Ewald, EdVenture Partners, and The McGinn Group are ineligible to participate.

How do I enter the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge?
You can enter by having your team leader register your team of no more than three (3) students on the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site at www.edventurepartners.com/chevysb

Is there a registration fee?
No. The Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge is free of charge to all participants.

When does the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge start and end?
Registration for the competition ends September 29, 2006. All submissions must be received no later than October 13, 2006. The top five (5) teams will be announced October 23, 2006 and final presentations held in early-November 2006.

Can more than one team per school enter the competition?
Yes. There is no limit on the number of teams that can submit entries from each college/university/institute.

Is each team required to have a faculty sponsor?
No. Faculty sponsors are not mandatory, but are recommended for advice, guidance and support.

Can more than one team have the same faculty sponsor?
Yes. A faculty member may sponsor more than one team.

Is there a limit to the number of team members?
Yes. Each team is allowed no more than three (3) team members.

Can I belong to more than one team? Can I submit more than one entry?
No. Each student can only belong to one team and only submit one entry for the competition. Multiple entries submitted by one team will result in disqualification of all entries submitted by the team.

Should my submission follow a specific format?
Yes. Submissions must include storyboards and a script in PowerPoint format that has been converted to a PDF file. Please see the “Submissions” link on the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site.

Who will be judging the submissions?
Available faculty at colleges/universities/institutes who are not participating in the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge and representatives from EdVenture Partners will complete the first round of judging. Chevrolet and its agency members will conduct the second and final round of judging.

What are the judging criteria for the submissions?
Please refer to the section titled “Judging” on the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site for detailed information.

What happens to my submission?
You will not receive your submission back. All submissions will become the property of Chevrolet. Refer to the “Official Competition Rules” in the “Rules & Guidelines” section of the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site for more information.

Will my submission remain private? What about my proprietary ideas?
Your submission and ideas will become the property of Chevrolet. Refer to the “Official Competition Rules” in the “Rules & Guidelines” section of the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site for more information.

When will the top five (5) teams be notified?
The top five (5) teams will be notified October 23, 2006. The top teams will be notified by phone and/or e-mail and posted to the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site.

When will the teams who compete at the final competition in Detroit, MI be notified of their placement?
Those teams competing at the Detroit presentations will be notified of their placement directly after the presentations.

Is there a time limit to the presentations?
Yes. Each team will have fifteen (15) minutes to present their creative concept, ten (10) minutes for a Question & Answer session, and five (5) minutes for setup.

Is there a slide limit for the submissions?
No, however, you must comply with all the guidelines outlined in the “Submissions” section of the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge Web site.

How will the presentations work?
Your team members (no more than three) and accompanying faculty sponsor (if required) will be sent to Detroit, Michigan to present in-person to Chevrolet and EdVenture Partners executives (all expenses paid).

Will our team be penalized if we do not submit supplemental materials such as a video diary, ad mock-ups, humor videos, or other materials that expand upon our submission?
No. Although we strongly encourage supplemental materials, they are not part of the submission judging criteria and will not be judged for the competition. However, by submitting supplemental materials, you are agreeing to allow the Sponsor (Chevrolet) and its agents to use these materials for public relations and media purposes.

Are there any limitations to the supplemental materials?
No, as long as the content of the supplemental materials is relevant to the competition and/or your submission. These materials are another opportunity to showcase your ideas, skills, talents, and/or humor to the general public even if you are not selected as one of the top five teams. For video submissions, there is no time limit, however, Chevrolet reserves the right to edit and/or shorten any video submissions for internet or broadcast use.

Will the winning team have any involvement in the production of their commercial concept?
Yes, the winning team will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the production process. The details of this opportunity will be disclosed to the top five teams at the final presentations in Detroit, MI.
