What kinds of marketing ideas are eligible for the Chevrolet College Marketing Challenge (CCMC)?
Any and all. Through the research you will be conducting, you will be able to determine
what is a good fit for that target market.
How do I enter the CCMC?
You will need a professor to register for the CCMC. If you have an independent
group of students that would like to participate, please contact Erin Murphy

When does the CCMC start and end?
August 28, 2007 is the first day of the CCMC. All submissions must be received
no later than November 15, 2007 (5:00pm EST). The case study may or may not take up the entire
quarter/semester class. This decision will be left to the professor to decide.
These dates are to accommodate those schools on both a quarter or semester academic
calendar. The top teams will be announced November 30, 2007 and final presentations
in Detroit, Michigan on (TBD).
Is there a registration fee?
No. The CCMC is free of charge.
How are teams formed?
Teams will be formed by the professor and made up of 3-5 students per team. You may NOT
have teams of more than 5 students.
Is there a limit to the number of team members?
Up to five (5) students per finalist team will be flown to Detroit, Michigan to present their
case study.
Can I belong to more than one team? Can I submit more than one entry?
No. Each student can only belong to one team and only submit one entry.
Can the presentation team members change once we submit our entry into the contest?
Yes. Presentation team members may change for the final presentations of the CCMC. We understand that some students may not be
able to attend the final presentation if selected. Therefore, the presentation team members do not need to be the creators of
that submission, even though that would be preferred.
Should my submission follow a specific format?
Yes. All submissions need to be in PowerPoint format. Feel free to use your own
creativity and add graphics, voice, hyperlinks and/or video. We will accept a burned CD or
DVD. Submissions over 30 slides will not be accepted.
Who will be judging the submissions?
Judges will be academic faculty from 4-year colleges/universities not participating
in the CCMC.
What is the judging criteria for the submissions?
Please refer to the section titled “Judging Criteria” for detailed
information once you log in.
What happens to my submission?
You will not receive your submission back. All submissions will become the property
of Chevrolet, Campbell-Ewald, McGinn MS&L and EdVenture Partners.
Will my submission remain private? What about my ideas?
Your submission and ideas will become the property of Chevrolet. It is possible
that Chevrolet may decide to implement your ideas in their national campaigns. The
top submissions will also be posted to the CCMC site for others to view.
When will the top case study teams be notified?
November 30, 2007. The top teams will be notified by phone and posted to the CCMC
website.
When will the teams who compete at the Chevrolet Headquarters be notified
on their placement?
Those teams competing at the Detroit presentations will be notified their placement
directly after the presentations.
Is there a time limit to the presentations in Detroit?
Yes. You will be given 25 minutes to present and 5 minutes for Q & A.
Is there a slide limit for the submissions?
Submissions may not exceed 30 slides.
How will the presentations work?
Up to five (5) students and one professor will be sent to Detroit,
Michigan for the presentations (all expenses paid). Five (5) top teams will be invited. Presentations are 25 minutes
and 5 minutes for Q & A.
What is the award?
One (1) first place team will be awarded $2,500. One (1) second place team will be awarded $1,500. One (1) third place team will
be awarded $1,000. One (1) fourth and one (1) fifth place team will be awarded $500.
How will the internship work?
